Developer environment and platform model
Developer org/sandbox, metadata, objects, relationships, governor limits and development workflow.
Develop Salesforce coding skills using Apex, SOQL/SOSL, triggers, asynchronous processing concepts, Lightning Web Components, unit testing, and deployment practices. The focus is on writing bulk-aware, testable logic within Salesforce platform constraints.
This pathway suits programmers who want to specialise in Salesforce development. Practice covers both business logic and user-facing components, with attention to governor limits, secure access, and maintainability.
Developers with Java, JavaScript, C#, or other programming experience. The learning path can be adjusted to the learner’s starting level after an initial discussion with the training team.
Programming fundamentals, object-oriented programming, SQL basics, and Salesforce platform basics.
Duration is a recommended planning estimate. Final hours and lab access should be confirmed for the selected cohort.
Study the learning sequence below. Module delivery order may be adjusted to the cohort’s background and the available Salesforce training environment.
Developer org/sandbox, metadata, objects, relationships, governor limits and development workflow.
Syntax, classes, interfaces, collections, exceptions, static methods, enums and object-oriented patterns.
Queries, relationship queries, filtering, search, bulk-safe data access and query optimisation basics.
Trigger context, handler pattern, before/after events, bulkification, recursion control and governor limits.
Flow vs Apex decisions, invocable Apex, asynchronous Apex concepts, scheduled/batch/queueable patterns.
LWC component fundamentals, properties, events, Apex calls, wire service, forms and lifecycle overview.
Apex unit tests, assertions, test data, debugging logs, test isolation and coverage expectations.
Metadata/deployment concepts, CLI overview, version control workflow, security review and exam topic revision.
Build a service-request application with Apex logic, SOQL queries, automated tests, and a Lightning Web Components interface.
The following are example role directions aligned with the skills taught. Hiring requirements differ by employer, experience, communication skills, and hands-on ability.
A strong programming foundation and OOP understanding are recommended. Experience in Java, JavaScript, C#, or another language can help.
Yes. The pathway introduces LWC fundamentals and Apex integration alongside the core platform developer topics.
No certification exam fee is assumed to be included. Confirm current Salesforce exam details separately.
The course may include certification-aligned preparation, but it does not issue an official Salesforce credential. Check the current official exam guide, registration process, prerequisites, and fees separately.
